May you see heaven breaking into this Herod’s Time of ours, and may you too have reason to sing.
It is into our world as it is, into our lives as they are, that God has always come to God’s people, and it is here that God will meet us again. Let yourself receive God’s grace.
Maybe, if we can open ourselves to remember that as all the chaos of the world swirls around us, hope stays and God works, we’ll learn to see more signs, and experience more trust, and maybe hope in better days will be possible for us all.
Today is about knowing things can be different, about recognizing the hope surrounding us. Today, it’s time to be bothered.
Ultimately the stewardship question is not really about how much we give. The stewardship question is about how we will use what we have been given. If you would like to contribute to the ongoing ministry at Humbercrest United please consider a making a donation here.
Like Bartimeaus, may we have the wisdom, the courage, the faith to really see; to see the ways that God is with us, to see that we are not alone, even when this world seems to be telling us otherwise.
Let us love on another as we have been loved, and let us answer the call to walk together, serve together, take risks and reflect hope, knowing that while it will never be easy, it will always be worth it.
