This journey through Holy Week must be travelled, and we will do so to the beat of a distant drum of hope and promise, knowing that each step takes us closer. Ride on!
Who is Jesus for you? That is really at the heart of this Lenten journey, isn’t it? Who is Jesus for you, and why does he matter so much?
Lent is about living in these between times … sitting in between Mary and Judas, in that room with Jesus, and coming face to face with the fullness of our human condition.
There is much weighing down our world right now, and sometimes the stench of fear and death seems overwhelming. But the time has come, let us untie what threatens to destroy us – our fears, our weakness, our anger, our division – let’s let go, and welcome new life.
As our Lenten journey continues, we are reminded that there are divine gifts to be found in the dark. Light is born out of darkness.
As we begin the Lenten walk we are invited to be in relationship with God. How will we respond?
Jesus’ living waters are meant for people like us, people who are sometimes carrying too heavy a load and feeling parched and exhausted by the worries of this life.
